What does my session fee pay for?

The session fee pays for my time during pre-session planning, time and talent during the session, post production work, your private online gallery, and your order planning/processing. Print and digital products are purchased separately, unless otherwise noted with a specific package.

When should I book my newborn session?

In many cases, especially busy seasons, I book out 2-3 months in advance for weekend appointments. Newborn sessions should be done within the first 10 days of life, so it’s important to contact me to book BEFORE baby arrives.

When should I have my maternity session done?

I recommend between weeks 36-38, however if theres a fear of early delivery due to high risk, or complication they could be done as early as 34 weeks.

How long will my session be?

Depends on the type… A mini-session which I run for kids during holidays are only about 15 minutes, traditional sessions last up to 1-hour, seniors will last up to 2-hours, and newborns will last 2 to 3-hours!

Where should I get my digitals printed after my session?

Should you decide to forego professional prints I strongly urge you to be choosy in where you get them printed. Wal-Mart, Target, Rite-Aid or anything of the like will not give you the quality or color and detail that I capture. I recommend Mpix.com as a non-pro company. Their quality and selection is great, and I have used them in the past.

What is the difference between a Mini-Session, and a Traditional Session?

The short answer, variety, and customization. Read on for the long answer 🙂

• Traditional Sessions – Depending on the type can last anywhere from an hour, to three. We have full customization options, outfit options, back-drop options, and we work together on a plan for the session type/location that suits you and your family. All products are purchased separately.
• Mini-Sessions – Are quick 15 minute sessions, based upon a certain theme, backdrops are set and no outfit changes are included. These sessions are great to catch a few new images for the kids throughout the year in between your annual full session. 5-8 digital images are normally included with a print release.

Where will my session take place?

This depends on many things, type of session, time of year, and of course your personal preference. Sessions may take place at my studio, or on location. Location sessions might take place at your home or other favorite place, or a location of your choice from my suggested list.

What should I wear?

Ahhh the questions I get most often 🙂 Simple, comfortable, and coordinated clothes work best for photographs. You want your session to refelct your personal style! Can you remove acne, scars, wrinkles, and boo boo’s?

Yes, I most certainly can. All images will be professionally edited prior to your final order! If you have a specific area of concern for skin related issues please let me know so I can be sure to pay close attention to it when processing your final edits prior to processing your order.

When will my images be ready to view, and final prints/digitals ready for pick-up?

Your images will be available for viewing on your private web gallery in about 2 weeks. Your online gallery (not available for mini-sessions) will be hosted for 7 days, final orders should be submitted within that time to avoid additional re-hosting fees, or purging of unordered imagesYour images will be available for viewing on your private web gallery in about 2 weeks. Do you archive my images so I can order more at a later date?

We archive your purchased images for one year. Images that are not ordered are purged from our system after 30 days, in order to make room for new clients.
